She enjoyed singing, and baking. Many people knew of her apple squares and she would bring them to every church, picnic and potluck event. She loved animals, especially chihuahuas and had quite a few during her life, but parakeets were especially endearing to her. She would teach each one to talk and they could recite over 50 sayings, scriptures and songs over time. She also enjoyed old movies and musicals; her favorites were Deanna Durbin and Jeanette MacDonald movies with their soprano voices along with her own. In the fall, was football season with her favorite being Penn State and of course the Steelers. You couldn’t call during game time, because she wouldn’t pay attention to the conversation if the game was on.
