

He was born June 19, 1928 in Rices Landing, a son of the late Earl H. and Leona Gass Christopher.
Jim was a 1946 graduate of Jefferson High School and served in the United States Army during WW II.
He worked as an electrical finisher for the former McGraw-Edison Plant in Canonsburg.
Jim was a member of the United Steel Workers of America and the American Legion Post #175, Washington.
He enjoyed camping, automobiles, and woodworking and loved his Yorkie, “Dolly”.
On December 20, 1952 he married Dorothy “Happy Dot” Hart, who died April 9, 2016.
Surviving are three children, James L. Christopher and his wife LuAnn of Washington, Robert Christopher of Washington, and Patti Filosi and her companion Jay of Washington; four grandchildren, Nicole (Mark) Kuzma, Matthew (Jen) Hayes, Nicholas (Tara) Christopher and Patience Medlan; and a great granddaughter, Emma Kuzma.
Deceased are three brothers, Wilbur, Donald and Duane; and four sisters, Irma, Ina, Hazel and Arlene.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday in the Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Rd., Jefferson, PA 15344, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. Keith Meier officiating. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg.
