She was born February 17, 1950, in Clarksville, a daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Hayden Stefek.
Janet was a 1968 graduate of Beth-Center High School and attended Uniontown Beauty Academy.
She was a self-employed beautician.
In 1968 she married Donald R. Shipley, who survives.
Also surviving is a son, Donald R. (Erica) Shipley Jr. of Front Royal, VA; two grandchildren, Jacob and Harrison.
