

She was born February 20, 1955 in Barnesville, OH, a daughter of the late Melvin and Mary Ann Ayers Manteau.
Janina was an awesome mother and grandmother. She was the rock, and heart and soul of our family.
She was a homemaker, but had formerly managed the Beer Barrel in Waynesburg, for several years worked at the Moose Lodge in Waynesburg, and at one time worked at the Little Store.
She was an active member of the Women of the Moose of Waynesburg and a social member of the American Legion Post #954, Jefferson.
On August 14, 2010 she married Terry Lawrence, who survives.
Also surviving are three children, Christopher (Jeanne) Manteau of Lippincott, Reed Piper (Jennifer) of Fredericktown, and Michelle Manteau Holmes (Rick) of Marianna; 8 grandchildren, Zachary Holmes, Eric Holmes, Alex Manteau, Jenna Piper, Christopher Manteau II, Rylan Piper, Noah Manteau and Reed Piper; a great grandson, Leo Holmes; Siblings, Christina Dalpiaz (Alan Headrick) of Denver, CO, Elisa Bishop (Cam) of St. Clairsville, OH, Melody Shaw of Bridgeport, OH, and Lea Ann Snyder of Wintersville, OH.
Deceased in addition to her parents are three brothers, Lee Allen Manteau, Graham Manteau and Daryl VanCuren; her biological mother, Twila Manteau; and a nephew, Katlin Shaw.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, in the Behm Funeral Homes Inc.1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 29, 2014 with the Rev. Nick Bardo officiating. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg.
