Joann I. Higgins Schamp

She was born January 20, 1934 in Hundred, WV, a daughter of the late William L. and Agnes M. Showalter Higgins.

Ms. Schamp was a registered nurse and had worked at the West Virginia University Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV and at the State Correctional Institution-Waynesburg.

Surviving are three children, M. Rene` Schamp Leukel and her husband Jeff of Sanford, FL, William Schamp of Mather and Lisa Moore and her husband Scot of Waynesburg; four grandchildren, Christopher Faddis, Ashley Faddis, James Schamp and Christina Schamp; and a brother, Billy J. Higgins of Washington.

Deceased is a sister, Patricia Lee Barr.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Behm Funeral Homes, Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 4, 2014. Interment will follow in Yost Cemetery, Burton, WV.
