

He was born December 20, 1929 in Thompson #2, a son of the late Anthony and Susan Harvilla Yocabet.
Mr. Yocabet was a laborer with Frick Coke Yard in Thompson, Ford Motor Company in Bedford, Oh and then later with Findlay Refractories in Washington.
He was Catholic by faith and a member of the American Legion Post #954, Jefferson.
Mr. Yocabet was well known for his musical abilities with the accordion and piano. He played throughout the tri-state area at weddings from the 1960 thru the 1990’s. He started with his first band The Premiers and then later with Joe Yocabet and the Jolly Slovenes. He had several recordings and appeared on live television on the George L. Massi Polka Review in 1975. His two sons followed him and played with their father from the 70’s thru the 90’s.
On November 22, 1952 he married Joan M. Rizno, who survives.
Also surviving are three children, Janice Rohanna (Woody) of Waynesburg, Michael Jo Yocabet (Christina) of Mather and Mark Anthony Yocabet of Mather; two grandsons, Adam Rohanna and Michael Joseph Yocabet Jr.; two brothers, Gerald Yocabet of Merrittstown and Anthony Yocabet of Los Angeles, CA; three sisters, Alberta Berish of Uniontown, Pauline Pahula of Allison and Theresa Carr of Thompson #2.
