

He was born June 20, 1929 in Marguerite, Westmoreland County, a son of the late Joseph P. and Catherine M. Warus Waligora.
Mr. Waligora was a 1947 graduate of Jefferson High School and a 1957 graduate of Waynesburg College.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany.
Mr. Waligora was a high school teacher in the Bentworth School District. Prior to teaching he was a coal miner in Mather Collieries.
He was a member of St. Marcellus RC Church and the American Legion Post #954, Jefferson, for 60 years.
On July 3, 1954 he married Victoria Ann Sagosky, who survives.
Also surviving are children, Diane Waligora, Joseph (Kathy) Waligora , Kathleen (Mike) Kraft, Patricia (Ron) Balla, Monica (Rick) Sell, and Barbara (Nigel) Hodges; 11 grandchildren, Jack Granus, Christina Huffman, Kathryn Granus, Michelle Bennett, Kimberly Novak, Kelli Pratt, Jennifer Kraft, Vincent Kraft, Monica Mounts, Kenneth Sell and Nina Hodges; 12 great grandchildren, Mason, Daniel, Eli, Kallyn, Brody, Bronsyn, Ridley, Toby, Noah, Levi, Abbe, and Drew.
He was the last of his family, and preceded in death by five siblings in Poland, Lukascz Waligora, Blanche Cielcelka, Julian Waligora, Joe Waligora, and Albert Waligora.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where a Blessing Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 22, 2015, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Marcellus R.C. Church, Jefferson with Fr. J. Francis Frazer as celebrant. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg. Military Rites will be accorded by the American Legion Post #954, Jefferson.
