Mary Ann Manteau

She was born May 12, 1919 in Clinton, Allegheny County, a daughter of the late John and Blanche Rush Ayers.

Mrs. Manteau was a homemaker and had lived at Lippincott since 1945.

She had attended Calvary Baptist Church and a member of Jessop Boat Club.

On March 28, 1936 she married Melvin Manteau, who died February 7, 2002.

Surviving are a daughter, Janina Lawrence and her husband Terry of Waynesburg; 6 grandchildren, Christopher, Reed, Michelle, Sandy, Mary and Nicky; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Scalia of Fairfax, VA.

Deceased are two sons, Graham and Lee Allen Manteau; and a brother, Hayes Ayers.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in the Behm Funeral Homes, Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Nick Bardo officiating. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg.
