He was born Saturday, January 19, 1957, in Waynesburg, a son to the late Esther Marie Tenney Cox. Michael was on the swim and track teams at WCHS where he graduated in 1977, shortly after he went on to serve in the United States National Guard for 22 years. He was a member of the VFW. He also worked at Greene Arc for 19 years, a home health aide, and construction for years to follow until his health declined. Michael was member of the Eagles #598, where he was on their pool league. He attended Mt. Morris Gospel Tabernacle when his health permitted. He enjoyed shooting pool, rock and roll music, collecting old and unique money, driving his mustang and motorcycle, growing his beautiful flowers and blackberries, and telling stories from his past. If you knew him you’ve probably heard the lines ‘it’s good being me’ or ‘can I pick on you’. His presence will be sorely missed.
