

He was born December 9, 1937 in Clarksville, a son of the late Thomas N. and Viola Marie Craft Leichliter.
Mr. Leichliter served in Germany with the United States Army during the Korean War.
He worked as a coal miner with Gateway Coal Co. and in later years as a custodian with the Jefferson-Morgan School District at the high school.
Mr. Leichliter was a member of the American Legion, Hanson-Cole Post #391, Fredericktown and the United Mine Workers of America.
He was formerly married to Ida Mae Stilwell, who died March 30, 2012 and to Avis McKnight Leichliter Lloyd of Masontown, who survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Deanna Whoolery and her husband Glen of Jefferson, Sheryl Wahl of Portage, MI, Lynn King and her husband Kirk of Waynesburg, Marie Leichliter-Krause and her husband Richard of Carmichaels; 10 grandchildren, Joshua Whoolery, Matt King, Ryan King, Christopher King, Maggie Burnworth, Desiree Leichliter, Tommy Leichliter, Kyle Leichliter, Sydney Wahl and Ethan Wahl; four great grandchildren, Aidan Burnworth, Ellie Burnworth, Destiny Jordan and Denny Johnston.
Deceased are a son, Thomas R. Leichliter; two brothers, Ralph Leichliter and Thomas A. Leichliter; and a sister, Harriett Brendle.
At the request of the deceased the services are private and entrusted to the Behm Funeral Homes, Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor.
