

She was born March 31, 1922 in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late Corbet J. and Ruth E. Adams Efaw.
Mrs. Pyles had worked as a nurse’s aide at Washington Hospital at one time.
She had lived all of her life in Greene County. She was a member of Winnett Chapel in Marianna and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post #4793, Waynesburg.
On June 26, 1956 she married Harry W. Pyles, who died January 18, 1994.
Surviving are 5 daughters, Patricia Smitley of Carmichaels, Kimberly Pyles of Carmichaels, Robbin Howes of Clarksville, Carol Ann Finn and Nancy Finn both of Phoenix, AZ; a son, James Finn of Tacoma, WA; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; two brothers, James Efaw of Waynesburg and Merle Efaw of Enon, OH.
Deceased is a son, Terry Finn; two sisters, Helen Stemm and Jean Smith; four brothers, Ross Efaw, William Efaw, Richard Efaw and Jerry Efaw.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, in the Behm Funeral Homes, Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Ginny Everhart officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Cemetery, Jefferson.
