

He was born July 27, 1941 in Clarksville, a son of the late Henry B. and Freda Perkins Adamson.
Mr. Adamson was a graduate of Jefferson-Morgan High School Class of 1960.
He had worked as a coal miner and owner and operated his own contracting business, Adamson Home Improvements.
He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Lippencott.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, outdoors, gardening, reading the Bible, woodworking and biking.
On July 23, 1960 he married Barbara E. Morris, who survives.
Also surviving are four children, Raymond E. Adamson Jr. of Waynesburg, Maudetta (John) K. Adamson Greenwell of Huntington, MD, Melissa (William) J. Adamson Crick of Carmichaels, Melana L. Adamson Bell of Washington; eight grandchildren, Raymond E. Adamson III, Lani Adamson, Holly Adamson, Joel Pekar, Damyn Crick, Sarah Greenwell, Joshua Greenwell, and Samuel Greenwell; two great granddaughters, Emily Adamson and Ella “Ellie” Mae Giedl; four siblings, Bonnie Scott of Graysville, Barry Adamson of Rices Landing, Barbara J. Adamson of Waynesburg, and Charlotte Keys of Clarksville.
Deceased are two sisters, Dolores Weaver and Loretta Welling.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, in the Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, PA 15344, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2016 in the Faith Baptist Church, 793 Lippencott Rd., Waynesburg, PA 15370, with Rev. Paul Roofner officiating.
