He was born April 27, 190 in Uniontown, a son of the late Celia Gosh Shaffer.
Rick was a graduate of Tri Valley High School.
He served in the United States Marine Corps during Desert Storm and was a member of the USMC Reserves.
Rick was a corrections officer at SCI Greene and in retirement worked as a bus driver for Fox
Charters.
He was Catholic by faith.
Rick enjoyed playing baseball with a team called The Bandits.
On June 3, 2006 he married Rheanna L. Willison, who survives.
Also surviving is a sister, Sherril (Fred) Robbins of Masontown; a nephew, Brandon Robbins; a great niece, Madison Robbins; sister and brother-in-laws, Lonnetta (James) Pitcock and Roxanna Nelson; and several other nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, August 26, 2024 from 4 to 8 pm in the Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Rd., Jefferson, PA 15344, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where a prayer service will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 11:30 am with Fr. J. Francis Frazer officiating. Interment will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville. Military Honors will be accorded by the United States Marine Corps and the Corrections Officer’s Honor Guard.
