

She was born June 24, 1958 in Tonawanda, NY, a daughter of the late Harold Paul Schwier and Rosemarie Fritschi Schwier.
Mrs. Barchiesi was a 1976 graduate of Sweet Home High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education with a minor in environmental science in 1980 from the State University of New York at Fredonia. She had taught school for the Bureau of Indian Education on the Navajo Nation in Arizona and also in the public school system throughout Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Barchiesi was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Waynesburg and Immaculate Conception in East Aurora, NY. She enjoyed reading, playing the violin, opera, art, outdoor activities, and her beloved dogs, Nitty and Little Bear.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Carl A. Barchiesi, whom she married October 24, 2003; three step-daughters, Vanessa E. Scott of Pittsburgh, Andrea J. Barchiesi of Erie, Megan Smith of Ocean View, Del.; a step-son, Rennie Barchiesi of Rices Landing; a step-grandson, William Smith; 3 sisters, Paula Haber (Dr. Robert), Suzanne Cook (Blair) of Bradenton, FL, and Kathleen Schwier of East Aurora, NY; 2 brothers, Tom Schwier (Karen) of Tonawanda, NY and James Schwier (Pam) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; nieces and nephews, Kyle and Benjamin Haber, Cameron, Lauren, Alexandria, and Maximilian Schwier.
