Ross G. Moon Jr.

He was born March 25, 1934 in Morgan Township, a son of the late Ross G. Moon Sr. and Madeline Steinmiller Moon.

Mr. Moon was a tool and die maker for the Walton Stamping Plant for Ford Motor Company in Ohio. At one time he had worked as a coal miner at Mather Collieries in Mather, PA.

He was a member of the United Auto Workers of America, and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed bowling and tractor shows.

Surviving are a daughter, Cathy Gallo and her husband Ed of Somerset; a son, Ross Moon III and his wife Sue of Somerset; two grandchildren, Ross “Chipper” Moon IV and Gina Rake; four great grandchildren, Christopher Rake, Madeline Rake, Tyler Moon and Anna Moon; two brothers, James Moon of Medina, OH and Charles Moon of Streetsboro, OH; a sister, Dolores Hartley of Aliquippa; a very special friend, Pauline Fiume of Cuyahoga Falls, OH.

Deceased in addition to his parents is a brother, Donald Moon.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Behm Funeral Homes, Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Sylvia Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg.
