

She was born May 19, 1929 in Westmoreland City, a daughter of the late John and Helen Kanetsky Novak.
Mrs. Lovetere was a 1946 graduate of Carmichaels High School.
She lived most of her life in Greene County. She had worked at the former Crucible Steel Company Store, Gross’s Furniture Store and Davis’s Giant Market.
Mrs. Lovetere was an 80 year member of the Hewitt Presbyterian Church, Rices Landing; where she was a member of the Hewitt Church Women, Class 7, and Agape Circle. She was also a former deacon, elder, clerk of session for many years. She and her husband were Hewitt Church custodians in the 1990’s. She was also a member of the American Legion Post #816 Auxiliary, the Board of Elections of Rices Landing, and the Hewitt Cemetery Board.
She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, cooking, and reading. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and their pets.
On April 2, 1949 she married James Lovetere, who died January 10, 2001.
Surviving are two sons, James F. Lovetere of Arlington, VA and Bryan P. Lovetere and his wife Gayle of Gordonsville, VA; two brothers, Fred Novak of Clearwater, FL, Dan Novak of Parker, CO and loyal neighbors Earl and Erlene Leighty.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, in the Behm Funeral Homes Inc.1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 23, 2015 with the Rev. Geoff Rach officiating. Interment will follow in Hewitt Cemetery, Rices Landing.
