
He was born March 2, 1929 in Perry Township, Fayette County, a son of the late Gilbert and Bertha Mae Hughes Sisler.
Mr. Sisler was a retired coal miner from Emerald Mine in Waynesburg.
He was a member of the Mather Christian Church, the United Mine Workers of America, the National Rifle Association and Ducks Unlimited. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
On June 23, 1955 he married Amelia “Babe” DeBolt, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, William L. Sisler Jr. and his wife Bernadine of Mather; three grandchildren, William L. Sisler III and his wife Tina, Nichole Lemley and her husband Brian, and Nicholas Sisler and his wife Thea; four great grandchildren, Julian and Mason Sisler, Kayle Lemley and Lily Sisler; three brothers, Gilbert Sisler Jr. and his wife Delores, Roy Sisler and his wife Sally, and Thomas “Barry” Sisler and his wife Sharon.
Deceased are two sisters, Elsie Mae Sisler and Elizabeth “Patty” Ann Moser.
