Born in Meriden, CT, Mr. Ripley had previously lived in Rockville, CT before moving to the Port St. Lucie area year and a half ago.
He was a fire safety technician and had worked for Fire Equipment Services in Fort Pierce.
Mr. Ripley is survived by his son, J. Alex Ripley of Anniston, AL; daughter, Irish M. Ripley of Wisconsin; sister, Sunshine I. Elliott-Rodriquez of Stuart, FL: brother, Bruce A. Elliott of Port St. Lucie, FL; mother, Jean R. Elliott of Port St. Lucie, FL, and one granddaughter, Lela Ripley.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Aycock Funeral Home in Jensen Beach, FL.
