
Albert John Schroth, 87, passed away at his home in Jensen Beach, Florida on May 22, 2026. Husband to Phydalis (deceased); son of Ann and Edward (deceased); brother to Roger, Edward (deceased), Ronald (deceased), Wayne, James (deceased), and Glenn; and uncle to 19 nieces and nephews.
Al grew up in Columbia Station, Ohio and was a 1957 graduate of Columbia High School. After high school, Al volunteered to join the United States Navy and served on the U.S.S. Intrepid during the Vietnam War. He was a Fleet Tactical Support Squadron member while on the U.S.S. Intrepid. After proudly serving his country, he was honorably discharged in 1962 and joined the Reserves until 1964. He then started his lifelong career as a carpenter and was a proud member of the Ohio Carpenters Union.
Al enjoyed music and dancing. During his retirement years, he was an avid reader who read thousands of novels. Al and Phydalis' joy was hosting numerous parties at their Boone Road home, including reunions, clambakes, and graduation parties.
A graveside military service will be announced later this year. Donations can be made in honor of Albert J. Schroth to the American Legion, Post #126, Jensen Beach, FL 34957.
