

Barbara Ann Sage passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at the age of 73. Barbara was born on March 28, 1950, in Malden, Massachusetts. The daughter of Arthur Law, Jr and Ruth Dix Law, she was the youngest of five children and raised in Milton, Mass. Barbara grew up in a traditional Irish Catholic family, and often spoke fondly of her childhood home at 23 Christopher Drive in Milton. A cheerleader at Archbishop Williams High School, Barbara excelled in academics and attended Stonehill College in Easton, Mass after graduating from high school in 1968.
On July 18, 1970, Barbara married Samuel John Sage of Dorchester, Mass. The couple lived in Quincy, until they purchased their first home in Pembroke, Mass and eventually relocating to Stuart, Florida where they would remain for the rest of their time together. Barbara and Sam have two adopted children, both from the FANA orphanage located in Bogota, Colombia. Barbara and Sam welcomed their children into a warm loving home and created wonderful memories to last a lifetime.
Barbara had a very close circle of friends and family. She embraced what it means to be a mother. She was loving and caring and was always working to ensure that she provided the best for her family. She was resourceful and resilient when it came to her children. Constantly finding ways to make things happen while teaching her kids the importance of earning their keep. She had a natural ability to make everyone feel at home. She had a strong faith in God and was not afraid to give more than she had.
She loved being a “Nana” and never missed the opportunity to send “the boys” a birthday or holiday card. She loved animals and always cherished her family pets. She kept in touch with her loved ones near and far, often calling them and wanting to hear more about what was going on in their lives. She loved cooking, and sports, keeping up with all her favorite Boston sports teams. She was an avid reader and loved crossword puzzles and game shows. She loved being the baby sister to her four older brothers and always stressed the importance of being close with family.
She was a hard worker and had a long and successful career in food and beverage and hospitality management. Loved by many of her customers and clients, she managed to go above and beyond to give everyone a wonderful experience under her guidance.
Barbara is survived by her two children, son Michael and daughter Stephanie, daughter-in-law Erin Mason Sage, and her two grandchildren, Cole Samuel Sage, and Michael Stephen Sage. She is also survived by her two older brothers Terry Law, of Washington Crossing, PA and Dennis Law of Sunset Beach, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Ruth Law, and two older brothers Arthur “Skip” Law, the third, and James “Jimmy” Law, and by ex-husband Samuel Sage.
Barbara was so very loved. She will be missed dearly by many, but never forgotten.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 12, 2024 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Aycock Funeral Home, 950 NE Jensen Beach Blvd, Jensen Beach, FL 34957.
