Beth A. LaRocque

LaRocque, Beth Aileen of Jensen Beach, Florida, formerly of Flint, Michigan and White’s Beach, Michigan, passed away on February 18,2020 at the age of 94. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Beth was born on October 2, 1925 in New Lothrop, Michigan, the daughter of Ernest and Lelah Juanita McKone. She married Donald Frederick La Rocque on July 1, 1946; he preceded her in death on February 24, 2002. Beth had a passion for playing organ, piano, guitar and banjo. She was a member and secretary of the Flint Banjo Club from 1966-1968. She attended church regularly, most recently Trinity United Methodist Church in Jensen Beach, Florida and enjoyed Bible study. Beth worked at AC in Flint during World War II and volunteered for the soup kitchen and other church activities throughout her lifetime. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and will be missed by all. Beth is survived by her children; Donna (Gregory) Klingler, Janet (Richard) Mount, Larry LaRocque and Sandra (Chris) Penny; grandchildren, Jeffrey Wilson, Mark (Claire) Wilson, Bethany Wells, Brian (Carrie) Mount, Tina (Kevin) Armstrong, Selina LaRocque, Sara Penny and Zachary Penny; great grandchildren, Michael, Austin, Tyler, Brianna, Brandon, Ryan, Gavin, Ava, Riley, Madison, Josilyn, Mathew, Crystal, Mitchell, Caiden and Scarlette; sisters, Joy Longstreet, Joyce (Curt) Elliott and Bonnie Friend; brother, Rex McKone and many nieces and nephews. Beth was also preceded in death by her parents, Baby Boy LaRocque and siblings; Carl (Ardith) McKone, Peggy (Otto) Prast; brothers-in-law, Eugene Friend and Mick Longstreet; sister-in-law, Jan McKone.
