Ms. Betty W Grant

Born in Eustis, Florida on October 26, 1927, daughter of Earle and Gladys Hilyard. Betty attended school in Florida, Oklahoma and graduated from Henry C. Conrad High School, Delaware in 1945.

Betty worked for the DuPont Company, Diamond State Telephone Company, University of Florida and with her late husband, Kenneth M Grant, owned a sub shop/deli in Newark, DE.

Betty retired August 25, 1990 from Delaware Public Employees Council 81 of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees as a Union Representative. She retired to Jensen Beach Florida in September 1990.

She was an avid boater, Officer and Instructor for the Coast Guard Auxiliary.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Sandy and Jim Cecelia. Granddaughter, Michele Kowalski and 3 great grand-children. Two nephews Dirk and Doug Hilyard of Fort Lauderdale area and sister-in-law Marjorie Hilyard.

She was predeceased by her parents Earle and Gladys Hilyard, husband of 56 years, Ken Grant, sister, Peggy Bowdle and brother, Capt. David Hilyard.
