Carey was born in Penns Grove, NJ and moved to Jensen Beach 3 years ago.
He worked as foreman for Dupont in Deepwater, NJ for nineteen years and retired as supervisor, Division of Motor Vehicular, State of FL in Miami after twenty years.
Carey was predeceased by son Carey Britton, Jr.
Survivors include wife, of 74 years, Alma Britton of Port St. Lucie, FL; daughter Alma Hynes of Port St. Lucie, FL; 6 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
