

She was born April 9, 1935 and raised in Allentown, PA. Daughter of John and Myrtle (Koch) Chaplin, sister to Doris (Ross) Heimbach, Joanne (Eric) Vadelund and Diane (Micheal) Maletsky. All of whom preceded her in death.
Carolyn graduated from Allentown High School in 1953. She served as a secretary for the Buffalo Public School system. Her passion for sports led her to become an “Elite” judge for USA Gymnastics for many years. She enjoyed playing tennis, bocce and softball with her friends at Nettles Island.
Touching the hearts of all she met, Carolyn was kind, sweet, loved to laugh and had a smile for everyone. Her beautiful blue eyes and smile would light up any room. She had the biggest heart in the world for her family and friends and would do anything for them.
Carolyn was profoundly loved by her four children, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply and sincerely missed and will never be forgotten.
Surviving children are daughters Rhonda Phillips (Brad Tyler) and Patricia Kotz (David), and son Kevin Tobin (Elly). Grandchildren include Patrick Malarkey, James C. Phillips, Samantha Phillips, Eric Tobin, David Andrzejewski, Shawn Tobin, Dana Kotz, Ryan Kotz. Survived by many Great-grandchildren.
Carolyn heartbreakingly lost her cherished daughter Cheryl Tobin a little over a year ago and was also preceded in death by loved grandchildren Randall J. Phillips, and Lauren N. Tobin.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Aycock Funeral Home, 950 N.E. Jensen Beach Blvd., Jensen Beach, FL 34957. A funeral service will be held there Friday March 8, 2024 from 12 noon to 2 pm. Burial service will immediately follow at All Saints’ Cemetery, 2303 N.E. Seaview Drive, Jensen Beach, FL 34957.
