Born in Frankfort, Michigan, Dan was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a stone mason for most of his life, and he retired in 2016. Dan loved to golf, so he continued to work at Palm Cove Golf Course.
Dan also loved to bass fish at Lake Okeechobee, and follow any open wheel racing event, whether it was sprint car or modified. He lived a simple life, where his family and friends were the most important things to him. Dan loved to BBQ for them, and he played a mean game of cornhole.
His proudest moment was when his daughter, Nikki was born and he enjoyed following her high school bowling team as they won the State Championship several times. Letting her go wasn’t easy, but when Nikki joined the United States Navy after high school, Dan was incredibly proud of the brave and driven young woman that she had become.
Dan will always be missed and is truly loved.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Christine (Chris) Pierce Andrews of Port St. Lucie, FL; children, Nikki Leigh Andrews, and Marshall J. Sauer (Holly); mother, Donita Sue Andrews; siblings, Nancy (Scott) Fleetwood, Dennis (Robin) Andrews, Jeff (Impy Jo) Andrews, and Jerry (Cheryl) Andrews; granddaughter, Mally, and his fur companions, Liam and Chance.
Dan was predeceased by his father Donald Wilson Andrews and grandfather Chester Lee Andrews, Sr.
