Dorothy Jane Spies

Dorothy was born in Union, New Jersey on July 3,1936 to father, Otto Deutschlander and mother, Josephine Zimmerman-Deutschlander The tenth of eleven children, Dorothy grew up in Union and Plainfield, New Jersey. In 1959, Dorothy married William "Bill" and they had three sons,

William J., Edward M. and Adam C. all currently of Florida. Dorothy was active in the Women's Club,

and in the local PТА. Dorothy worked for Standard Oil immediately following high school and

ultimately worked as the business manager for her husband Bill. Dorothy moved from New Jersey to

Hobe Sound, Florida in 1985 and retired in 1992.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband Bill. She is survived by her

children, Sandra, William, Edward and his wife Maria and Adam and his wife Cynthia, along with grandchildren, Jason, Joshua, Jackie, and Andrea and Sarah and her husband Luke, Ashley,

Lauren and Deborah. Dorothy will be deeply missed by her whole family.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, 10:00 am at Fernhill Memorial Gardens,

1500 S. Kanner Highway, Stuart, FL
