Elizabeth Slattery

Elizabeth was born in Riverside, New York and moved to Jensen Beach 35 years ago coming from Jericho, NY.

She was an original member and Eucharistic Minister of St Martin de Porres Catholic Church and a founding member of Lifeline of Martin County. She volunteered at House of Hope, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, and the School for the Deaf in Westbury, NY, but more than anything she was a wonderful Mom.

Survivors include sons, James Slattery, wife Alice of Glen Burnie, MD, Timothy Slattery, wife Elizabeth of Taunton, MA, Patrick Slattery wife Sharon of Stuart, FL, Mark Slattery wife Susan of Great Falls, VA, daughter Kathleen Orchant husband Bob of Ashburn, VA, fourteen grandchildren, Erin, Elizabeth, James, Matthew, Lisa, Tricia, Sean, Tara, Lauren, Joshua, Sean, Zachary, Caitlin, Jillian; one great grandchild, Francis Lifgren, sister, Mary Hrostoski.

Elizabeth was predeceased by husband James Slattery, granddaughter J. Elizabeth Slattery, Sister Theresa Etter, Brother George Carlin and lifelong friends, Fran & Lin Seaman.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Aycock Funeral Home, Jensen Beach. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30AM Thursday, June 10, 2010 at St Martin de Porres, Jensen Beach.
