Mrs. Flynn (Yogi) was a second mom to me throughout my life. Countless dinners at the Flynn house. Visits to Florida when they moved there. She was always very welcoming to nearly anyone at "Flynn's Inn". I could not have loved this woman any more if she was a blood relative. We will all miss you, but cherish the memories of how you impacted our lives.

Helens outgoing and friendly personality was a very special asset to the Elks Lodge. She was one of the few people that made us feel welcome at the Elks. Jim and I had so many good times on the gambling trips and bowling league that Helen put together. Helen will always have a place in our hearts. She was never without a smile and a hug for us. We will greatly miss her.

I remember the first time I met Helen. It was in Patmark supermarket on Long Island. We had just moved to Maple Street and Helen and I became fast friends immediately. Her sense of humor and loving nature was evident in everything she did. Over the years we had good times and bad. Went on vacations with the husbands and spent time with our kids. Helen was a once in a lifetime friend and will always be in the hearts and minds of my family and myself. God Bless you Helen my forever friend.

Helen was an angel when she was here on earth. She always had a way about her that made everyone she came in contact with happy. She was so special to me and my family. I will always remember all of the special times we spent together, from holidays to birthdays to regular days. When I walk into my mom’s kitchen I still picture her at the table. When she moved to Florida we knew we would miss her fiercely but thankfully we had many more great times on all her visits. Helen, I love you and will always carry your memory with me. Hug Bob for us.

Your house in Massapequa was my second home because of the warmth and generosity of your mom (even if we were always having fish heads and rice for dinner). She was a loving and special person. I will always remember the last time we went bowling with the kids after All-American that one time you visited. She was a fantastic grandmother who loved those children with all her heart.

Helen Flynn was one of my favorite people on Earth. Growing up, Helen was my one of my mother’s best friends and they were together regularly. I have very fond memories of Helen and her infectious laugh. Never have I met a person so consistently happy.
It is believed that Helen saved my life on a couple of occasions. Thankfully she was there when I misbehaved as a child or my mom would surely have killed me. :)
I recall when the Flynn family moved away to Florida so many years ago. It was a sad time. Over those years, Helen never missed a year sending me a birthday card. “Love to all...think Florida”.
To say “I’m sorry for your loss” doesn’t cover it. The Flynn family has lost a real gem. God bless you all.
Heaven has gained a beautiful Angel. Say “hi” to Bob for us. We’ll love you for always.

I fondly remember Mrs. Flynn while I was growing up in Massapequa. Anytime I went to the house she was smiling and laughing. This was comforting because Mr. Flynn was a bit intimidating. It was nice to see the photos from the family and that she continued to be a happy woman. My condolences to the family as I know she will be missed!
