He was born March 12, 1941, in New York, New York, the son of the late James and Josephine Flugger. He has been a resident of Jensen Beach since 1998.
James had served in the Navy aboard the USS Gyatt and USS Beale, obtaining the rank of Boilerman Second Class.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as an Operating Engineer for the City of New York.
Mr. Flugger enjoyed spending time at the beach and ocean. He loved boats and blue fish fishing.
James is survived by his twin sons, James E. Flugger and Patrick H. Flugger both of NYC,NY; a daughter, Kimberly Perry and her husband, Alexander, of Westport,CT; two granddaughters, Josephine Flugger of Jim Thorpe, PA and Anastazia Perry of Westport, CT; brothers, Fred Flugger of Port St Lucie and Charles "Champie" Flugger of Ft. Myers; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, May 10, 2019, from 2-4pm in the Aycock Funeral Home, 950 NE Jensen Beach Blvd., Jensen Beach. Service will be following immediately afterwards at 4pm in the funeral home. Inurnment will be at a later date.
