John Newhouse

John Newhouse passed away on October 5, 2017 in Port St. Lucie, Florida after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. John was born on March 2, 1952 in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada to the late Louis Newhouse and Jozina Mol.

John was a graduate of Niagara College in Ontario, Canada. He had a successful career in the cabinet design industry both in Canada and South Florida. He worked for Downsview Kitchens of Canada for the past 20 years. He was an active member of Grace Presbyterian Church and enjoyed gardening in his spare time.

John is survived by his wife of 44 years, April Newhouse, daughter Aimee Aycock [Kevin], son Paul Newhouse [Melanie] and seven grandchildren: Emily, Ryan, Jack, Anneke, Adam, Leah, and Timothy. He is also survived by his siblings, Walt Newhouse [Diana], Mieke Beeke [John], Jake Newhouse [Mary], Karen ter Harmsel [Will], and Bob Newhouse [Joanne] plus numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Aycock Funeral Home, Jensen Beach on Thursday, October 12th from 6-8pm. Visitation will also be held at Grace Presbyterian Church, Stuart on Friday, October13th from 10-10:45am and the funeral service at 11am. A lunch reception at the Church will follow the service. A private burial will be held at Fernhill Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Presbyterian Church or Treasure Coast Hospice.
