John Reagan, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, relative and friend passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2026 leaving behind a family who loved him deeply and a lifetime of cherished memories.
John was born on July 8, 1939 in Jersey City, New Jersey to Mary and Jack Reagan. He graduated from Henry Snyder High School in Jersey City and began his working career as a butcher with the A&P Supermarket. His strong work ethic, loyalty and dedication were qualities that remained with him throughout his life. He later worked for Publix Super Markets for 30 years, retiring as Manager in 2000.
Above all else, John was a family man. He shared 63 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Tina (Ann), and together they built a life centered around family, friends, faith, traveling, boating, sports, and community involvement.
In 1972, John and his family made Florida their home, first settling in Sunrise and later living in Plantation, and Jensen Beach. Over the years, Florida became an important part of John’s life and the place where he and Tina raised their family and made countless memories together. John had a lifelong love of animals and nature. He had a special passion for saltwater and tropical fish and enjoyed bird watching. He loved his dog, Fritz, and over the years cared deeply for the many dogs who became part of the Reagan family.
John was a proud father to his son, Paul Reagan and his wife, Jamie, and his daughter Michele Lindstrom and her husband, Jeff. His family continued to grow, bringing him tremendous joy. He was a proud grandfather to Jessica Reagan and her fiancé Carter Phillips; Megan Lindstrom Sarlouis and her husband Jason; and Kevin Lindstrom and his fiancée Valeria Guzman. One of John’s greatest joys was becoming a great-grandfather to Megan and Jason’s daughters, Sadie and Sage. His weekly video calls with the little ones lit up his world and brought him so much happiness. John is also survived by his younger brother Joe Reagan and his wife Kathy, and his niece Caitlin.
John will be remembered for his strength, dry sense of humor, the stories he loved to tell, and most of all, the love he had for his family. While his family will miss his presence more than words can express, they are deeply grateful for the many years, memories, laughter, and love they were blessed to share with him.
A beloved husband, Dad, Grandpa and Great-Grandpa, John leaves behind a legacy of love and family that will live on through the generations.
