Karl Manz

Karl Gottlieb Manz 93, passed away December 3rd under Hospice care. Karl was born in Niefern, Germany and his family moved to the United States in 1929. He was a lifelong resident of Union, New Jersey while maintaining his beloved home in Terry Twsp., PA until his death. He was also a seasonal resident of Port St. Lucie, FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents Gottlieb and Bertha and his wife of 61 years Edna Marie Nick. He is survived by his children Linda (Bill) Connolly and Karl (Betty) Manz of Stuart, FL, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren and his companion Diane McNally.

Karl served in the Navy during World War II in the Pacific front as a Seabee and on the USS LST 611. He was a life member of the VFW of Jensen Beach, American Legion of Wyalusing, AM Vets and German-American Club of Clark, NJ.

A celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the VFW of Jensen Beach, FL. Burial will be at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, NJ.
