

Kenneth A. Seggebruch, 63, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at Cleveland Clinic Martin North Hospital in Stuart, Florida. Ken was born on October 22, 1962 in Chicago Heights, IL to Fred and Shirley Seggebruch. He had two brothers who survive, Stephen and Daniel Seggebruch. He grew up on the Seggebruch Family Farm in Crete, IL and enjoyed having his grandparents live nearby.
Ken attended Crete-Monee High School in Crete, IL, where he enjoyed singing and acting as a member of the school choir. It was in the Crete-Monee High School choir that Ken met the love of his life, Donna S. Nudelman of Park Forest. After graduating from high school in 1980, Ken and Donna began attending Prairie State Junior College in Chicago Heights, IL. Ken and Donna were married on November 21, 1981 at Crete United Methodist Church in Crete, IL.
Ken and Donna relocated to Stuart, Florida in 1982 with his parents. He then attended Indian River Community (now State) College before transferring to Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL. He graduated in 1985 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He was a certified MAI real estate appraiser for the Treasure Coast / Palm Beach County regions for decades and was still working at the time of his passing.
Ken had a lifelong love of fantasy, science fiction, and gaming. He regularly played Dungeons & Dragons and other tabletop role playing games since high school. Through Dungeons & Dragons, Ken and Donna met Don and Jeanie Link in 1986, with whom they played Dungeons & Dragons most Saturdays and enjoyed a close friendship for almost 40 years. Don and Jeanie’s daughters Erin and Kelly Link grew-up with Ken as a significant presence in their lives and fondly refer to him as “Uncle Ken.” Ken was also an active online gamer since the early ‘90s and enjoyed many long-standing, close friendships with others that he met online. He was an active presence on dreamlyrics.com, a play-by-post role-playing game community, for many years.
Ken enjoyed being a Den Leader for Cub Scout Pack 832, his son Michael Seggebruch’s pack, from 2000 to 2005. He also played an active role in Boy Scout Troop 822, Michael’s boy scout troop, from 2005-2008.
His survivors include his wife of 44 years, Donna S. Seggebruch of Jensen Beach, his son Michael Seggebruch of Irvine, CA., his brothers Stephen Seggebruch of Dublin, OH., Daniel (Rhonda) Seggebruch of Plainfield, IL., his nieces Autumn Webb and Victoria Seggebruch and his beloved Beagle dog Maggie.
He was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Shirley Seggebruch, his wife’s parents Charles and Rezona Nudelman, his brother-in-law Charles Nudelman Jr., his sister-in-law Donna J. Seggebruch, and his grandparents Walter and Grace Seggebruch and Cecil and Eva Chester.
A memorial service will be held at Family Church North Stuart, 1950 NW Federal Hwy., Stuart, FL 34994 on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Ken’s memory.
