

Lynda E. Pray, 58, passed away, at her home, on Wednesday October 30, 2013, following a long illness. Lynda was born in Plattsburgh, New York on April 23, 1955. She moved to Port St Lucie, FL in 1997. She enjoyed her early years as a native of the Adirondacks. Following her graduation from AuSable Valley Central High School, she enlisted in the Women’s Army Corp, serving as a Commumication’s Specialist in the US Army Signal Corp. She was a Vietnam Era Veteran and took great pride in service to her country. While in service she was awarded the US Army commendation medal and the National Defense Service Medal. She was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Following active duty she earned a Registered Nursing degree from Clinton Community College, in Plattsburgh, NY. She worked as a Registered Nurse until her illness made it necessary for her to retire. Most of her life, she had been active in athletics. She excelled in everything she attempted. Lynda loved life, people and most of all her family and nursing. She will be dearly missed and leaves behind a loving family: her partner Margaret Ano of Port St Lucie, FL; parents Raymond and Shirley Pray of Jensen Beach, FL; brother Dean Pray and his wife Barbara Pray of Port St Lucie, FL; sister Karen Warner and her husband James Warner of Cadyville, NY; brother Kevin Pray and his wife Cheryl Pray of Keeseville, NY; brother Sheldon Pray and his wife Michelle Pray of Jensen Beach, FL; brother Stuart Pray and his wife Rosemarie Pray of Huntington Station, NY; brother Terry Pray and his wife Jenny Pray of Queensbury, NY; sister Sherry Pray of Jensen Beach. She also leaves behind fifteen nephews; six nieces; two great nephews and four great nieces. She was preceded in death by two niece.
Donations in her honor may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, The American Cancer Society, for the treatment and cure of Uterine Cancer or Treasure Coast Hospice.
