It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Jensen Beach has lost a larger-than-life resident with the sudden passing of Michael Rocks, age 41. Known for his enthusiasm for life and infectious laughter, Michael touched the lives of all who knew him.
Michael was born in Ridegwood,NJ and raised in Jensen Beach, where he developed a deep love for wildlife, the ocean and boating. His passion for the outdoors and water extended beyond mere recreation; it was a lifelong affair that shaped his character and brought him immense joy. The Florida Keys held a special place in his heart, where he often found solace and adventure.
Professionally, Michael excelled as a salesman. His natural charisma and genuine interest in people made him not just successful, but truly exceptional in his field.
Beyond his professional achievements, Michael loved nothing more than spending time with his family, his dogs, and his friends. His greatest source of pride and joy was his beloved daughter, Naomi (14). Their bond was a testament to his dedication and love as a father. He was deeply invested in her happiness and well-being, and their time together was filled with laughter and cherished memories.
In addition to his daughter, Michael is survived by his mother and sisters, Dorothy, Kerry, and Nicole Rocks, his nephew Jaxon Rocks, and leaves behind a wide circle of friends and family who will forever treasure his memory. His passing leaves a void in the community that is impossible to fill.
Michael Rocks' spirit lives on in the many and varied stories of those who knew him.
A memorial service to celebrate Michael's life will be held at River Palm Cottages & Fish Camp on July the 8th at 6pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation.
Rest in peace, Michael. Your memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew you.
