I met Patti when she was a guidance counselor at Hyde Elementary and my daughter was in second grade. That was 1997.
My daughter was afraid of her teacher and would cry every morning when we walked to school. I would take my daughter straight to Patti's office. Patti would talk with her and get her to calm down. She did this for two weeks straight. At that point my daughter wasn't afraid anymore. However, she still wanted to see Ms. Lesniak every morning. This is how she wanted to start her day...with Patti.
Fast forward to 2015 when my daughter and Patti became 'friends' on Facebook. They had wonderful conversations together. Patti, still so kind and caring.
To her loved ones, may your treasured memories of Patti comfort you and help you find peace. I will look for her star shining bright in the heavens.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Patty's husband Ed, their children and her family. My friendship with Patty truly began after high school. We worked together and then years later, we met again and she was still the sweetest person I knew from MCHS. I know Patty had struggles in life and I hope she has found peace. She was a kind and gentle soul and will be missed by many.

Patti was a loving, caring and wonderful friend. She was always willing to lend an ear or help you any way she could. She was as beautiful inside as she was outside and the world is a colder place without her in it.

For Patti’s family:

A kinder, sweeter, truly nicer person than Patti would be very hard to find. Beautiful inside as well as out, she was too good for this world. I remember her at Hyde Elementary introducing herself to me. I was so excited to have a counselor colleague I gave her a big hug and said, “so glad you’re here!!” We had a lovely trip together to visit her Mom years ago in Williamsburg. Her passing is unbelievable and a great loss to all who know and love her. My most sincere condolences to her family.
