

Born in Salisbury, MD, Robert has been a resident of Jensen Beach for the past 30 years, coming from New Jersey. Robert was a Boat Wright by trade, starting as a small wood boat maker and eventually moving all the way to manufacturing yachts.
He was a proud Vietnam Veteran that served three tours of duty in the United States Navy. While in Vietnam he received two Bronze Stars. While in the Navy he went through schooling to become a Nuclear Weapons Technician and Gunners Mate. He served as a volunteer for many veterans organizations. Robert was a member of American Legion Post 126 in Jensen Beach, FL, AMVETS Post 15 in Fort Pierce, FL and the DAV. Robert also loved fishing, boating, camping, jewelry making, puppy dogs, kitty cats, animals and he so loved the ocean.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 12 years, Sharon B. Bloom; his mother Alva Blair of Jensen Beach, FL; stepdaughter Colette Michelle Thomas and her husband Barrett of Jacksonville, FL; stepson Matthew Robert Fish and his wife Starr of Cincinnati, OH; granddaughter Madison Leigh Fish; and Brother Harry Bloom and his wife Nancy of Point Pleasant, NJ. He was preceded in death by his father Theodore Bloom.
A celebration of Robert’s life will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the American Legion Post 126 in Jensen Beach, FL.
