Ronald D Shipman

Ron was born in Hamilton, Ohio and moved to Fort Pierce, Florida at age 3. He spent many years in theMiami/ Fort Lauderdale area before relocating to Jensen Beach 11 years ago.

Prior to retirement he was in the Aviation Industry for over 50 years, working for National Airlines and Pan Am. He proudly served in the Marine Corps in the Korean War. Ron was a member of First Baptist Church of Stuart, loved fishing and boating, and was past president of Silver Eagle Motorcycle Club of Davie, FL.

Survivors include wife of 54 years Ann Tidwell Shipman of Jensen Beach, FL, son Stephen Wayne Shipman, and his partner Mike Pellegrinon, of Suwanee, GA, daughter Deborah Denise Shipman-Ponton, and her husband Joseph, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, and grandson Braeden Alexander Shipman-Ponton.

Ron was predeceased by his brother Wayne Thomas Shipman.

Visitation will be from 2-4 pm on Sunday, November 13, 2011 at Aycock Funeral Home, 950 NE Jensen Beach Boulevard, Jensen Beach, FL 34957. A funeral service will be at 11 am on Monday, November 14, 2011, at First Baptist Church of Stuart. Interment will be at 2:30 pm at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce.
