Sarah Jane Feather

Sarah Jane Feather, born Feb 2, 1939, to L. Draper and Sarah Ida Babcock, passed away on August 12, 2026. Sarah was proceeded in death by her husband Thomas W Feather and brother Frank D Babcock. She was born in Palm Beach County, worked civil service in Warner Robbins, GA and Kennedy Space Center, FL. After retirement, Sarah cruised many times to the Caribbean and around the world three times. Her home base the was Jensen Beach area.

Sarah held great pride in her family's deep roots in Florida's Treasure Coast.

She is the granddaughter of Frank and Ruth Richards, and great-granddaughter of Capt. Thomas E. Richards, an early pioneer who founded Eden along the Indian River Lagoon south of Ft Pierce in 1878 and created the pineapple industry in Florida south of New Smyrna Beach. Sarah loved sharing her family history to everyone she met.

Family and the church were extremely important to Sarah. She leaves behind many cousins and many friends who will share the stories of her cherished memories and remarkable adventures.

A celebration of life service will be held at the Cabanas of Jensen Dunes on August 23, 2026, at 2 pm.
