

Shirley A. Seggebruch, 92, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart, Florida. Shirley was born in Harrisburg, IL on April 23, 1933 to Cecil and Eva Chester. She had two sisters, Wretha Catlin (deceased) and Benita Rybicki who survives. Shirley graduated from Harrisburg Township High School where she was a cheerleader and served on the flag color guard.
She met Fred J. Seggebruch of Crete, IL in 1954 and they married on September 26, 1954 at First Baptist Church in Harvey, IL. They farmed the Seggebruch Family Farm and worked together in the real estate and land development businesses in Illinois before relocating to Stuart in 1982.
She worked for the St. Lucie Falls mobile home community and the Martin County School District for many years before retiring at age 80. She attended North Stuart Baptist Church (now Family Church North Stuart) for over 40 years where she sang in the choir and taught adult Bible study classes.
Her survivors include three sons, Stephen Seggebruch of Dublin, OH, Daniel (Rhonda) Seggebruch of Plainfield, IL and Kenneth (Donna) Seggebruch of Jensen Beach, three grandchildren, Autumn Webb, Michael Seggebruch and Victoria Seggebruch, and a sister, Benita Rybicki of South Bend, IN.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Fred Seggebruch, on March 8, 2017, her parents Cecil and Eva Chester and her sister Wretha Catlin.

A visitation will be held at Family Church North Stuart from 10 to 11 am on Monday, March 30, 2026, followed by services beginning at 11 am. Internment will be at Fernhill Memorial Gardens in Stuart, FL. Arrangements entrusted to Aycock Funeral Home, Jensen Beach, Florida.
