Thomas Francis Kenney Jr.

Thomas “Buddy” Francis Kenney, 85, formerly of Watertown and Bristol, Connecticut passed away on Sunday October 31, 2021, at the Martin Memorial – Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Stuart Florida after a brief illness.

Tom was born in Waterbury, CT on 04/17/1936, he was the son of the late Irene (Beaudry) Kenney and Thomas Francis Kenney Sr. He was raised in Waterbury and Watertown, CT where he lived for some time before moving to Bristol, CT. Tom served in the United States Navy from 1953 through 1957. He later became a Connecticut State Police Trooper in 1961 and served for 25 years, retiring as a Lieutenant in 1986. He moved to Jensen Beach Florida in 1986 with Barbara, his wife of 51 years where they lived until his passing.

Tom leaves behind his wife, Barbara (Henne) Kenney of Jensen Beach, Florida, his four children, Donna (Kenney) Molloy (Tom) of Connecticut, Thomas Francis Kenney III (Sharon) of Virginia, William (Sharon) Kenney of Connecticut and Timothy (Robin) Kenney of Florida, and two stepchildren, Alaine Procko-Oliveri and Michael Procko of Florida. He also leaves behind numerous Grand-children and great grand-children. Tom is survived by his sister Carole Couture (Barry) of Port St Lucie, Florida and his brothers Walter (Donna) Kenney of Connecticut and Robert Kenney (Rita) of Florida.

In addition to his parents, Tom is also predeceased by his sister, Irene “Renee” Baribault Brasche and his brother Daniel J. Kenney and sister-in-law Linda Kenney, all in Connecticut and grandson, Thomas Francis Kenney IV.
