Thinking of Everyone who loved Tim as The anniversary of his Passing came.. He was on my mind heavily,  The Whole King family has been in my thoughts and prayers,  I have thought of you all often,  he and I definitely shared many adventures.. I could write a book..In fact if there would have been reality TV back then.. I am positive we would have gotten amazing ratings..  With the adventures he and I shared together along with other friends... We went on vacations together, we shared holidays together. We threw parties... I wrecked two of his cars in accidents,  We survived a lot of different things together Young, wild, free, We went on long drives  having heart to heart conversations...  Again,Young, wild, free, and confused about life in general.. I tried to help comfort him the best I could during his time of  mourning over his Mother Whom he loved dearly.. He did NOT take the loss well at all.. Which goes without saying.. I too had lost my mother at a young age, much younger than him but we had that in common and spoke of it often, we had both lost our Mothers to Cancer .. it was part of our bond.. I remember wanting to save him from all his pain over it.. Of course I couldn't do that, but I sure wanted too and tried like hell.. So years later when I heard he had a daughter and named her after his Mother.. I was not surprised, I thought it was so touching.. It  touched my heart very deeply... Again he and I had logged MANY hours together speaking of our mother's.. I felt such joy when I had heard  he had a Beautiful daughter to share his life with..  The point is we shared a lot of things in our young life together that kids are age shouldn't have been dealing with..   . I could go on and on. As I said I could write a book about our time shared..  Tim will Forever have his own spot in my heart and soul... Dick, Kevin,Shelly, Christy, all the family my thoughts and prayers are with you all and have been..  God Bless...

Mostly, I always knew him
from a fathers point of view,
but he was also my good friend
one of the best I ever knew.

He never asked for much,
gave far more than he ever took,
seemed he'd been that way
since he baited his first hook.

Seemed, at times he measured himself,
against the deeds of his big brother,
though a father won't allow himself
to measure one against the other.

His passing went unnoticed
to the majority of the world,
but not for those who knew him
and certainly, not his little girl. 

His greatest pride in life,
if you knew anything about him,
was this one and only child
who now carries on without him.

His memory everlasting,
emotions overwhelm,
vivid images surround me
as though they were on film. 

He no longer walks this earth,
far too early did he depart,
I still struggle with the loss
though he'll never leave my heart.

We all miss ya buddy

Richard and Family - I am so sorry to hear of your loss. It just broke my heart. Tim was one of the sweetest, dearest people I know. I will always remember his infectious laugh and that wonderful smile that could light up a room. May your memories of him bring you peace and joy now that he has made his journey home.

Tim was all of what christy dick kevin and shelly have said!  To me he was the life of the party!  I still have fond Memories of him helping me with my old 1968 vw bus,  we hiked that van high up in the air in the tree in the side yard and worked for two days rebuilding that motor.  We skinned some knuckles and drank several beers and we laughed.  But most of all the confidence he showed while putting that motor back together,  I was amazed!  Or even the time he fell off the roof and broke his arm or the time ronnie shealthelm shot him with a beebee gun while he was running across the rafters of Ronnies barn!  Lol.   We all will miss that carisma he show!  He is and always will be in my heart!  Miss ya bud!

HE WAS

I guess it’s one of the reasons
everyone seemed to hold him so dear.
But, from very early on,
it just seemed he had no fear.

Whatever it was,
if someone should suggest it,
no matter how scary,
he wanted to be the first to test it.

He rode his first bike,
without the training wheels,
the very first time he tried,
at the tender young age of three.

He always “lived” life
from the time he was a child.
And from the very beginning
we all knew he was wild.

He rolled with the punches,
but also threw a few of his own.
In his younger days
he thought he was “bad to the bone.”

But he mellowed some
and as time went by,
he put the gleam
in his daughter’s eye.

He was an upholsterer,
before that, a mechanic
and a body repairman….
who just never seemed to panic.

He was a father,
a little brother,
a son
and a lover. 
 
……But mostly,,,,,,, he was a friend.

I knew Tim as a Gentle Giant, always softly spoken, always ready to help and loved by all who knew him.

Hey Dad,

Today is so very difficult but knowing you, you would want me to “toughen up” and get through this like a KING would.  

I could go on and on forever but words can’t even start to explain how much I’ll miss you.  We both know that we are each others world.  Everyone knows how close I am to my daddy, how much we’re alike.  I’d call myself the definition of a daddy’s girl and that’ll never change because to me you’re still right by my side,,, always.  

I feel so fortunate for the special time we spent Friday night because what we shared will always be a perfect memory of us.  I’m so very proud to call you my dad – Tim King – Mr. handyman, the big guy with the huge heart and after a couple of drinks, the life of the party.  

Though 42 is too young to pass away, you definitely enjoyed yourself and the life you lived. There’s nothing I can see you taking back.  

You mean everything to me dad.  I am who I am today because of you.  I love you with all my heart daddy.

Thank you all for gathering here today.  We have come to this place to celebrate the Life of and to mourn the passing of Timothy Bryan King.

Tim…he was a father, a son, a brother… a mechanic, an upholsterer, a sprinkler man, a brick layer, a carpenter, an electrician, a welder, a plumber, I don’t know of much the man couldn’t do.

He was very gifted and talented.  Give him a blue print and a 12 pack and he could build a piano from scratch.  Tim had a very sharp mind, a photographic memory.  Having drinks with Tim almost always had a detour down memory lane.  They were good times, bad times, but mostly the snot flying laughing times.  Tim’s mind kept it all.  He helped keep alive the memories that seemed a lifetime ago, my family’s times when we lived in Michigan.  So I guess I have to add family historian to his long list of talents.

Tim had a huge heart, he had a lot of love in his heart.  He loved his family, he loved his friends, he loved Mindy.  But his very special, his most dear, the biggest love of his life was his daughter Christy.  He loved her to the core.  You saw it on his face whenever they were together.  …His pride…. His Joy… His Girl.

Christy was one of the very few women who could stand to live with him.  He could be grumpy, he could be surly and man could he snore.  I mean rattle the rafters, oh my god what is that? And do you have a grizzly bear in your house, kind of snore.  I never asked Christy how she slept through it and I never heard her complain.

Tim never married.  He followed his own path.  He was well grounded and had his code on how to live life.  Loyal, humble and faithful.  Always willing to help a friend and fiercely protective of his family.  To Tim, you mess with his family and it was personal.  He would bleed and die for his people.

Tim’s love was unconditional.  He didn’t need much or want much in return.  Tim was a happy, content man.  I believe he would be embarrassed seeing us all gathered and making a fuss over him now.

He was so much to me.  My brother, my hero.  He’s my best friend.  God, I loved him.

He’s always been a wonderful son,
a best friend to his brother
and as a dad to daughter Christy,
he shared the loving traits of his mother.

Everyone who knew him
considered him a friend
and for everyone who needed it
he had a hand to lend.

If it was broke, he’d fix it,
seemed, he could make anything run,
it used to be working on old crap
was his way of having fun.

Appearances didn’t much matter to him,
from way back in his early years.
He’d drive a piece of crap,
but he could run it through the gears.

He was a mechanic early on,
but he liked doing body repairs,
taught himself to paint,
just one of his many wares.

He moved from Michigan to Florida
to be nearer to his brother,
went to work for his uncle Mike
doing this, that and the other.

Later, he worked in irrigation,
until the company was sold,
then he moved on to do upholstery,
which seemed so very bold.

But it was something that he mastered
well enough to open his own shop
and though he hadn’t made it yet,
he was working his way to the top.

He leaves a multitude of friends
in Michigan and Jensen Beach,
cause in all the things he did,
you’d never hear him preach.

He lived life to the fullest
though not always at it’s best.
He’d lived through some troubles,
but he stood up to all the tests.

He loved his only daughter.
She too, loved her dad.
They always had each other,
which is what makes this so sad.

Always I’ll be proud
of the man that he became
and always I will know
that his daughter feels the same.

We now move on without him,
thankful he didn’t suffer.
And for the great people around us
who offer us a buffer.

And for those who have the faith
I offer this bit of reassurance. 
If there really is a heaven
his mom will welcome his presence.
