I was very sad when I recently learned that Vivian had passed away.  She and Jack were two of the nicest people I ever knew.  Although I hadn't seen them in recent years I enjoyed the many times I saw them when they lived or traveled to New York state.  Christmas spent with them was an especially happy time!   My sincerest condolences to their family, particularly Harriet and Jo Ann.   Hopefully there's some comfort in knowing that they're together again in heaven!

Always a special friend.Our shared love of quilting saw us on many " adventures" ,from road trips to quilt shows all around the state of Florida and beyond. We loved to laugh and she shared her love of family also. 
Indeed she will be missed. I will smile every time I think of her and cherish her memory and stories. Oh yes, the stories!

Vivian was one of the original members of Martin County Quilters also. She and Harriet wrote the bi-laws for the guild. She was an inspiration, was very talented and dedicated lady. She will be missed. Blessings and prayers to the family, especially Harriet. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I am brokenhearted to learn that Vivian has died.  I enjoyed an incredibly special friendship with her that I will cherish forever.  Vivian breathed life into my boring life in the Florida Keys and sparked a dormant interest in both quilting and embroidery that I passionately enjoy today.  While living in the Keys, she and Jack visited me each day, without fail, on their daily rounds.    My husband and I would then run into her and Jack at the same restaurant!  This occurred on a daily basis for years!  Vivian had a beautiful soul and did soooo much for others.  She was always available to teach another person a quilting skill that they wanted to acquire.  Generous spirit doesn't even cover her many attributes.  Vivian's love for her family was fierce and uncompromising.  Her devotion to her daughters was reciprocated.  Harriet, no one has cared for their parents the way you have.  Vivian was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

Vivian was very special to me  as a friend and as a teacher.  I am privileged to have known and spent time with her.  I have several things she made for me that I will treasure forever.  Hope you are gathering students for your first heavenly applique class, Vivian!

    I seldom quilt without thinking of her loving help and inspiration for over 30 years.
