Wendy Lee Ambrose

Wendy Lee Hiddemen Ambrose passed away peacefully on August 7th, 2026. Wendy was born in Pottstown, PA, on January 4, 1956. In 2013, Wendy made the move to Florida to be with her oldest daughter and grandson. Wendy enjoyed soaking up the coastal breeze and endless summers with her family. She is predeceased by her parents, Judy Comishock and Richard Hiddemen Sr, her stepfather, Steve Comishock, and her brother, Richard Hiddemen Jr. Wendy graduated from Pottstown High School in 1973 and then went on to attend Brandywine College, where she graduated with an associate’s degree in 1976. During her college years, she was a member of “Zeta Mu Epsilon” sorority, which gave her the opportunity to make many lifelong friends. She also participated in the Miss Brandywine beauty contest and was a runner-up in 1975. One of Wendy’s truest passions was spending time with her three beautiful daughters, her two grandsons, and her step granddaughter. Her other passions included interior design, listening to classic rock, dancing, bird watching, cheering for her favorite football team (Fly Eagles Fly!), and catching up with lifelong friends. Wendy spent 50 years as a dedicated bookkeeper that helped local families and businesses manage their finances with care. Wendy is survived by her children and their spouses: Lauren Frances Sirmans (husband Jake Sirmans), Emily Beth Ambrose, Julia Evelyn Silva (husband Andre Silva), and three grandchildren: Kaio Ambrose Silva, Ethan Thomas Cartagena, and Emma Grace Sirmans (step granddaughter) as well as her brother, Michael Hiddemen, and his wife, Deanne, along with 8 nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be planned for this fall in Pennsylvania.

Wendy always brought warmth to a room due to her contagious laugh, pure heart, and smile that she inherited from her mother. Wendy was famously easy to startle, but she was just as easy to make laugh. And when she laughed, she laughed with her whole heart. It seems fitting that some of the memories people treasure most are the ones where she simply couldn’t stop laughing.
