Barry was born Dec 27th,1942 in Takoma Park, Maryland and grew up on Rosensteel Avenue in Silver Spring, Maryland.
A graduate of Northwood High School class of ’61. Furthering his education, he was a graduate of American University class of ’66.
He joined the Army in 1968 and served 4 years at Fort Dix. He was married (Cathy Borseso) at the time and they welcomed Steve (1968) and Cheryl (1970).
After leaving the Army, Barry returned to being a businessman in the corporate world of IBM.
Looking for more than IBM could offer, Barry decided to head West (Silverthorne, Colorado). He spent his time building custom homes, remodeling homes, skiing the mountains, mountain biking and traveling.
Growing weary of the long winters in Colorado and needing a change, he moved to an Island (Grand Cayman) where he enjoyed fishing, scuba diving and snorkeling.
Loving the tropical weather, not wanting to return to the cold Colorado winters - Barry decided it was time to buy and live on a boat (No Agenda)…….he loved boating, but was not sure living on a boat was all it was thought to be.
Late in the year of 2001, Barry settled in Port Saint Lucie, Florida (Ballentrae area). Having his house and his garage, Barry continued his passion for woodworking, building things and helping others.
Along the way he met some of the most special friends a man could have.
“Don’t grieve for me, I have experienced a great life.”
“I’ve lived on a mountain, a boat, an island and enjoyed them all”
“I have had good friends and loved ones and”
“I have two kids that have brought me true happiness and love.”
