September 3, 1936 – March 13, 2020
Zarko “Jock” Ristovic was born on September 3, 1936 in Kovanluk, Yugoslavia. He graduated Belgrade University with his degree in Electrical Engineering. He served 2 years in the Yugoslavian Army. He was most proud of becoming an American Citizen on July 22, 1974. If you had anything negative to say about America, he would say “You don’t know nothing, this is a great Country.” He lived in NJ and eventually moved to Florida. Jock worked many jobs but one of his favorites was working for Abar Ipsen for many years. He loved working for this company because NASA was one of his responsibilities and it was important to him to be part of the American space program. In 1992 Jock began working for Martin County Utilities until his retirement in 2002. Jock loved to read, admiring Tesla, as he himself was a great mechanical engineer and mechanic. Jock was always smiling, loved a good joke, laughing and his merlot wine. He is predeceased by his parents, his 2 sisters and his longtime love Jeanne. He leaves behind his good friend of over 40 years, Chester Cupac of NJ, as well as the “son he never had” and a friend of over 28 years, John Molinelli, of Port St. Lucie, FL, who cared for him for many years, with his family, Nancy & Zachary, until his death. He will be missed.
