Argil was a man of bold faith who would often talk with people about his love for the Lord. Until recent years, he dedicated much of his time to church work, and he was glad to share his many "handyman" talents to serve his church family. Prior to retirement, he worked for Pet Dairy and gave them 45 years of loyal service.
You would often find Argil working outside or spending his mornings at different restaurants around town enjoying his daily dose of biscuits and gravy. He loved the company of his "breakfast crew." He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, and among those, he found the most joy in his family. He was a family man to his core.
He leaves behind 3 children he loved dearly: Kathy Shoun, Linda Squibb (Richard), and Alan Neal; a granddaughter he regarded as a daughter of the heart, Bekah Hunt (JC), other grandchildren including Nick Smith, Wesley Squibb, Andrew Shoun, Kellie Shoun, Kevin Neal, Stephanie Vance, and Greg Neal. He shared a truly special bond with his great grandbabies Colby, Gracie, and Waylon Hunt; they were the joy of his life in his later years. He had several other great grandchildren he loved well including Addie Smith, Caroline, Levi, and Weston Squibb, and Jade Vance. He also leaves behind a sister, Carolyn Presnell (Dave), and a brother Tom Neal (Nancy).
Those left behind will lovingly recall his almost-always smiling face, and the way he deeply loved those who were close to him. He always put the needs of others before his own, and he had one of the most contagious laughs when he was truly tickled about something.
Argil lived through many of the ones he loved most departing this world before him; including his beloved wife of 71 years, Madelyn Neal, his youngest daughter, Sandy Neal Smith, who he adored, his oldest son, Kenny Neal, a well-loved grandson, Scott Michael Squibb, and several brothers, sisters, close cousins and friends.
