Austin Tyler Walters, age 21, of Mount Sterling, KY, was tragically shot and killed on Sunday night June 8, 2025 in Blountville, TN. He was born in St. Petersburg, FL, the son of Heather and Char Walters.
In addition to his moms, he is survived by his sister, Ashtyn; grandparents Boyd, Tony, Karen “Oma”, Penney, and Scott; his aunts Amy and Tina; cousins; his girlfriend, Ambria (Carson & Calvin); and his dog Rylee.
Austin was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed working in construction, landscaping, and tow truck driving. He never met a stranger and would sit down and carry-on great conversations with everyone. He had an extensive coin collection that he started when he was twelve. He always had a wad of cash, since he loved a good bargain be it a coin, vehicles, or car parts. He loved tinkering with cars, especially his 1972 Chevy Truck and his Harley Davidson. He enjoyed playing pool, shooting darts or fireworks, racing cars, long drives, and having a meal with family. Even though his life was cut entirely too short, he was excited to be a father and will be survived by his son, which is due near his birthday.
There will be no formal services held.
Arrangements especially for Mr. Austin Tyler Walters and his family have been made through Monte Vista Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 1900 E. Oakland Avenue, Johnson City, TN; 423-282-2631.
