Bonnie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and held several positions in her church over the years. She loved attending church and had many beloved friends there.
Some of her hobbies over the years were painting, gardening, reading her scriptures, and cooking. Her food was incredible! Everyone loved her Cherry-Delite and it was the first thing to go at socials and family gatherings. She loved to travel with her husband Harold, who preceded her in death in 1990. She also loved her many grandchildren and cherished time spent with them.
Bonnie had a sweet and gentle manner. She took in stray cats and saved kittens. She worried about the sick and the poor. She always gravitated to those she could help the most. Her children remember putting on warm clothes on cold Ohio mornings because she always ironed them. She even started Harold's car for him before he left for work. When her son Randy wanted Beatles boots in 1964 and dad said "No", mom said "Yes." When Rob wanted cocoa and toast for breakfast every morning before school that is what he got. (Because he was her favorite.) Ron never had to make a sandwich for himself but assisted mom one day when mice had eaten all her recipes in her recipe drawer. She threw in the cat and shut the drawer. Not a mouse survived! As she grew older, Bonnie was a huge help to her only daughter Angie, who thought it was a good idea to have four children very close together.
Bonnie was born in Bladensburg, Ohio on February 6, 1928. After moving to Tennessee from Galion Ohio in 1969, she lived many years in Kingsport and passed away at her daughter's home in Simpsonville, South Carolina. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Eugen Miller, infant daughter Sharon Miller, her parents Bessie and Mike Lipak, and her siblings; Mary, Marcella, Bud, and Barbara. She is survived by her four children, son Ronald Miller (wife Jean) Kingsport, son Randy Miller (wife Rhonnie) Johnson City, son Robert Miller (wife Jan) Johnson City, and daughter Angie Miller Snider (husband Leonard), Simpsonville, SC., 15 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
