Charles Lewis Johnson, age 60, of Johnson City, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born in Johnson City, Tennessee, a son of the late Charles Johnson and Brenda Whaley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Donna Moore; and one brother-in-law, Jeffrey Scott Lovelace.
Charles was a carpenter and had worked in construction all his life. He was a member of Grace Free Will Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing softball and soccer when he was younger. He was an avid University of Tennessee Volunteer fan.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Lollis and husband Jeremie; four grandchildren, Kailee, Breanna, Nehemiah, and Josiah Lollis; one sister, Robin Lovelace; one brother, Thomas Johnson; one brother-in-law, Robert Moore; mother of his daughter, Debbie Rigsby; two nieces and two nephews, Rustie Crowe and husband Tim Jr., Noah Lovelace, Candice Duggan and husband EJ, and Bobby Moore and wife Brittany; three great nieces and three great nephews, Casey Snyder-Mosley and spouse Lauren, Juniper Moore, Oliver Moore, Makaylah and Jaykob Crowe, and Peter Corby.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 10, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 5:30 PM at Monte Vista Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will follow at 5:30 PM with Pastor Curtis Hurt officiating.
The family would like to extend their thanks to his church family, and the Doctors and Nurses at the Johnson City Medical Center for all the love and care that was shown.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Robin Lovelace to help offset funeral expenses.
